The mission of the Ohio & Illinois Centers for Broadcasting is to provide hands-on broadcasting training in fully-equipped radio and TV studios. The instructional staff consists of broadcast professionals with many years of broadcast experience and includes local on-air radio and TV personalities. Upon graduation, students are well-prepared for entry-level positions in the broadcast industry.

Since 1986, the Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting have taught all aspects of broadcasting to a generation of broadcasters through an intensive, hands-on program instructed by the industry's top professionals. The Centers for Broadcasting possess a unique mix of broadcasting leadership and experience, educational excellence, and use of cutting edge technologies, combining to solidify our position at the forefront of broadcasting education.
At our broadcasting centers, you will develop expertise in all aspects of broadcasting (in front of the camera / microphone, and behind the scenes in audio and video production, etc) while learning from the broadcasting industry’s top professionals. Our students also work with industry professionals on a daily basis through unsurpassed internship opportunities in major markets.
The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting offers internship programs at local radio and TV stations for interested students. The intern opportunities provide students with additional hands-on training and workplace experience.
The typical internship takes place while the student attends the Ohio or Illinois Center for Broadcasting, and is usually a non-paying position. Although there is no job guarantee, many students who participate in the Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting's Intern Program are offered employment opportunities from these same stations upon graduation.
