Description

Somerset County Technology Institute, in Bridgewater, New Jersey, is part high school, part technical program.

Along with the usual general subject studies, Somerset also offers career programs such as Auto Mechanics, Building Trades, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Law and Public Safety, Musical Theater, Plumbing, Printing, and Welding.

There are two extra schools of study within the Somerset halls: the performing arts program which encompasses dance, acting, creative arts, costume and more, and The Academy for Health & Medical Sciences, which helps prepare students to later excel in medical studies in college.

The college and career center is prepared to help students transition into college by supplying SAT testing dates and information about college requirements.

Career services include advising, job searching, resume writing, interviewing techniques, and a career library. Either way, there are options for every type of student.
