OVU Description

A four-year college associated with the Churches of Christ, Ohio Valley University seeks to instill in its students a Christian worldview. Student life is grounded in community service, civic engagement, fellowship and prayer, with the hope that every graduate will use his or her education to serve God’s kingdom.

Ohio Valley University divides its academics into the following schools:

Academically, the university strives to balance its students’ intellectual, professional and spiritual growth. All students are required to take five Bible courses, so whether you’re studying History or Biblical Studies, Christian philosophy is infused into the learning experience.

Ohio Valley University features a number of financial aid opportunities. State programs like the West Virginia Promise Scholarship and federal grants and loans provide substantial need-based aid.

Institutional scholarships are also available to those who qualify.
