Description

Big Bend Community College is Lake Moses, Washington’s source for career and academic preparation. As part of its commitment to educating area residents of all backgrounds, Big Bend also has special programs for those from low-income situations to help them get a new career.

Big Bend’s certificate and diploma programs supply students with the training they need to work in such positions as:

  • Automotive Technology
  • Botany
  • Medical Assisting
  • Nursing
  • Welding

Big Bend also offers academic preparation programs and, since it has affiliations with such universities as Washington State, Central Washington University and Heritage University students may get an associate’s degree in anything from English to Psychology to Religious Studies before transferring to one of these four-year schools.

Work First is another option at Big Bend, providing monetary assistance and professional skills training to individuals who are unemployed and have little to no income. Additional support helps those in the Work First program to find and prepare for a job.

Those interested in attending will need to fill out an application and submit transcripts from all schools attended.

Financial aid is available to eligible students whose finances will not allow them to pay for tuition. Financial aid is usually awarded through a combination of grants, work-study and loans.
