Description
As part of South Dakota’s community college system, Kilian Community College aims to provide an affordable, quality education.
Accessibility is key for Kilian Community College, as reflected by its straightforward admissions procedure. To enroll, the school requires only an online application, high school or GED transcript and COMPASS Placement Test. All students with a desire to learn and ability to benefit are welcome to attend.
The school’s academics include more than 25 programs of study leading to professional certificates and associate’s degrees. Among these is the unique and popular Sustainability program, which is especially relevant as conservation becomes increasingly essential.
Kilian Community College also offers a handful of 2+2 bachelor’s degree programs, mostly pertaining to business and social work. These programs are arranged with the support of Presentation College and Southwest Minnesota State University.
KCC prides itself on affordability. Its tuition is quite low compared with other schools in the region, and many eligible students receive financial aid. Financial aid comes in a variety of forms, including federal grants and loans, work-study and institutional scholarships. Criteria vary based on the award, but most are based on need or merit.
