If you want to learn both new and traditional techniques in barbering, the Hero program at Ricci’s Academy might be the program for which you’ve been searching.
The school is located in the Newton, Connecticut foothills and has a large barbershop that is used for training and providing services to the general public.
The Hero Barbering curriculum includes Clipper and Scissor Cutting, Gray Hair Coloring, Overall Business of Barbering, Straight Edge Razoring, and more. Upon completion of the program, students will be more prepared to take the state board examination.
A significant part of the coursework includes apprenticeship, as students observe and assist staff members who work at the Hero for Men Barbershop. Occasionally, guest lecturers are brought in as well to educate students on industry trends, product knowledge, etc.
A free applications process for admissions is available online. Students also have the option of applying for financial aid. Tuition at the academy is charged per session, and it includes hands-on instruction, mannequins for practice and training, and lunch.
