Located in West Covina, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles, American Beauty College provides excellent cosmetology education with close access to metropolitan life.

The school covers all aspects of the beauty industry, offering courses in Cosmetology, Manicuring, Teacher Training, and Makeup. It also has a unique 400-hour Barbering/Cosmetology crossover course, for barbers who want to become cosmetologists. Also, Barbering 1500 hours and Cosmetology to Barbering 400 hours

Though American Beauty College does not offer scholarships, financial aid is available. Students who fill out the FAFSA may be eligible for federal and state grants, as well as direct loans.

The admissions process at ABC is quite simple and includes an interview, school tour, and aptitude test. All legal California residents are welcome to apply. However, if you don’t have a high school diploma or G.E.D., you will be required to take an A.T.B. test before admission.

American Beauty College attempts to provide a comprehensive cosmetology education. Even if you’ve had no experience, the school claims that it can teach you the skills you need to become a licensed cosmetologist. What’s more important is your attitude and how well you work with people. If you can make people feel good, ABC can teach you to make them look good.
