Description

Through classroom and hands-on work, Newberry School of Beauty in Los Angeles, California trains hairstylists and beauty artists for a range of occupations in the beauty industry.

Students choose from one of four programs: Cosmetology, Esthetic Arts, Manicuring and, for those who would like to teach at a beauty school, a Teacher-Training course.

Work is divided up between classroom hours and hands-on work at the Newberry Salon. It is here that students expand their skills and gain the work experience necessary to be successful in the field.

Newberry’s location is a great advantage to graduates. A thriving city and the heart of the entertainment industry, there are many opportunities in Los Angeles for students to find work as make-up artists in film and television, as well as work in hair salons and spas.

Tuition assistance is available through federal Pell grants, loans and other financial aid programs to those who qualify.
