The Griffin Technical College, part of the Southern Crescent Technical College, in Griffin, Georgia, is one of the largest public technical colleges in Georgia and a leader of providing professional education.

The school strives to serve the needs of all students, whether you’re an adult learner, recent high school graduate or degree-holder who wants to switch or advance careers. The college maintains a partnership with the University of Georgia for easy transfer to any of its institutions.

Many student clubs and organizations make it easy to become involved in student life. Students may join open clubs like the Book Club, Student Government Association and Phi Beta Lambda. Special interest clubs are available to students enrolled in certain programs, like the Diner’s Club, Pharmacy Technician Club and Surgical Technology Student Association.

Academics include more than 150 associate’s degrees, technical certificates and diploma programs. Associate’s degrees are available in fields like Business, Health Care, Personal Services, Public Safety and Technology and Industry. Certificates include Cisco Network Specialist, Nurse Aide and Forensic Science.

Admissions are decided based on an applicant’s placement tests, prior academic success, personal interests like extracurricular involvement and other appropriate evaluations.

Tuition is set lower for Georgia residents.

Financial aid is available to eligible students who have filed a FAFSA. Forms of aid include scholarships, grants, loans and work study programs.
