North Central Missouri College is a community of learners. As with any community, members function in various capacities for varying periods of time; students may attend for a brief period, while a faculty member may teach for more than 30 years. Underlying this diversity is a single thread, the need to learn. We are a community of learners only when we act collectively to fulfill this need. Consequently, in order to insure the viability and vitality of North Central Missouri College, we are dedicated to the learning of every participant-student, faculty, administration, staff, and trustees. North Central Missouri College provides comprehensive higher educational programs and services that are academically, geographically, and financially accessible to the residents and the communities of north central Missouri. North Central Missouri College promotes awareness of both the freedom and the responsibility associated with education. The College encourages free-flowing ideas and responsible action and emphasizes self-reliance, productivity, and a lifelong commitment to learning. The College, an open-admission community college, is committed to delivering quality instruction and support services to the broad range of students who can benefit from formal instruction.

* Students wanting to earn certificates and Associate of General Studies degrees, Associate of Arts degrees to transfer to baccalaureate institutions and Associate of Applied Sciences degrees to enter the workforce and for those wishing to complete courses in order to upgrade their skills or positions in the world of work by providing quality college-level academic, general education, and career instruction, developmental and continuing education, and student activities and support services.
* Citizens of the greater community of northern Missouri who wish recreational, cultural, diversity, or intellectual enrichment by providing services, facilities, and expertise.
* Members of business, industry, and government who wish to strengthen their respective organizations or themselves and who wish to develop the area economy by providing professional and technical training, facilities, and other services.
* Administration, faculty, staff, and trustees who, by virtue of their roles, bear primary responsibility for the integrity and vitality of the college community, by providing continuing professional development.
