In the 2007-2008 academic year, approximately 1,800 undergraduate and 1,600 graduate students attended Babson, representing more than 48 states and 75 countries. About 25 percent of the undergraduates and 16 percent of the graduate students are from outside the United States. Approximately 50% of Babson's Two-Year MBA class of 2008 are international students.
Babson College was founded by Roger Babson on September 3, 1919, as the "Babson Institute." It was renamed "Babson College" in 1969.
Believing experience to be the best teacher, Roger Babson favored a curriculum that was a combination of both class work and actual business training. Seasoned businessmen instead of career academicians made up the majority of the faculty. (This approach is practiced at Babson College nowadays too) To better prepare students for the realities of the business world, the Institute's curriculum focused more on practical experience and less on lectures. Students worked on group projects and class presentations, observed manufacturing processes during field trips to area factories and businesses, met with managers and executives, and viewed industrial films on Saturday mornings.

Question:
Info on Babson College?
I'm heading into my senior year of HS and I'm considering Babson. I was hoping a current Babson student or Babson alum might be able to help me out with some info. Thanks for any help.
Is it really as close to Boston as they make it seem? If you go/went there, is it easy to travel to and from Boston?

I never been to Babson, however, i know someone who is attending an MBA program there.... I've heard campus is great and it is only 30min away from Boston. Moreover I've been sent the viewbook .... they don't require much of the SAT's.. so if you have a decent score you'll get in...
Furthermore, i read in the viewbook that "All Babson freshmen work in teams to create, market, run and close a semester-long business. We even give the teams up to $3000 to start the business. (In fact, we recently won a national award in recognition of this innovative course!)"
What is more, after you graduate from Babson, you are qualified to work in the country's best companies.. i know another graduate from Babson who now runs a multibillionaire company named "Serono-Novartis" (in Switzerland) that sells products related with fertility and reproduction staff. Anyway, i think it is a great college (for Business, of course)... you should consider it!!....
Good Luck!!!

I'm taking numerous practice SAT exams and my scores are in the 1400-1500 range (2400 being the highest). I have a 90 average and I'm involved in extracurricular activities and take AP English and Math, Entrepreneurship, and next year I will be taking Calculus and Economics. I want to become an entrepreneur. I want to go to Babson College, I know the interview will go great because I like Business etc. and my high school academic record will help. But is a 1400-1500 SAT score good enough? The average score at Babson is 1700. Other schools on my list include Boston U., U.Colorado, DePaul U., Quinnipiac U.,Temple U., Rowan U., and Baruch College.

Actually, the first person to answer is wrong, as you probably know--the new SAT has a much different standard. The average scores at the school you're looking at, however, are probably not translated. On your SAT scores, add your math and your english (the one that does NOT include the essay) together to get the score that is comparative to past years' scores.
As far as your SAT score, yes, it is important. But schools understand that some students are not very good test takers and there is a section on most applications where you can "explain" some of your grades/scores, etc. if you feel the need.
Good luck :)

On the undergraduate level, all three are good. Boston College is the better university. Its undergraduate business school is ranked slightly higher than Babson's program. Both are superior to Bentley.
The one area where Babson is superior is in entrepreneurship.
