Overall
Looking to get the most from your entrepreneurial learning journey as a grad student? Get off your butt and build relationships, ask questions etc... you won't be spoonfed but this place is a treasure trove. I wish I still lived in the area - I would be on campus weekly.
Academics
I went to Babson for one thing... developing skill sets, attributes and a better understanding of entrepreneurship. I got what I went for and more... a great network of friends and colleagues, some of whom I do business with today. The best thing about the school is not the classwork. It's the real life experience of running supply chains through Techmark simulations / working with a client company and learning the difference to the bottom line that running a customer through a fast food line in 60 secs makes vs. doing it in 90 seconds... Relevant experience that we were able to bring back to our own ventures.
College Life
As a grad student, I lived in Boston (Brighton / Allston area). Babson Park / Wellesley is snoozeville. The place is safe and boring but thank god there's stuff to do throughout the greater Boston area. I went to Ukrainian spas, rummaged around Chinatown on a weekly basis, tiptoed through Southie and basically soaked it in. In Babson Park, I was at the library, grinding out financial models or building relationships
