Description

Central Georgia Technical College offers career and adult education options that not only serve individual students, but also support the economic and personal growth of the large geographical base it serves.

CGTC serves seven Georgia counties: Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Jones, Monroe, Putnam and Twiggs. Committed to developing the workforce of those areas, CGTC offers degree programs in such high-demand fields as Business, Information Technology, Public Services and Health, and industrial and technical careers.

Using the most up-to-date facilities, technology and equipment is one way that CGTC prepares its students for positions in their fields. Through its career services department CGTC also offers co-ops or internships with designated local companies, giving students the opportunity to earn on-the-job experience.

Career services also offers its students access to job listings and coaching in resume writing among other things. Academic support, particularly tutoring services, is available as well.

Other options at CGTC include adult basic education courses and continuing education, which offers condensed course-options in fields such as real estate.

Another way that CGTC caters to its students is through its combination of on-site and online courses for all of its programs.

Financial aid options include tuition waivers for senior citizens aged 62 and over, as well as grants and loans for eligible students.
