GGU Description

For more than 100 years, Golden Gate University (GGU) in San Francisco, California has been offering specialized professional degree programs designed specifically for adults with all levels of professional experience.

Golden Gate University’s bachelor’s and master’s degrees are awarded through its four distinctive schools:

*Business and Management
*Law
*Taxation
*Information Technology

Because GGU’s program is intended exclusively for adults who have already entered the workforce, the curriculum incorporates actual professional work assignments in each student’s field of study.

GGU also tailors its programs to meet the needs of adults by providing flexible scheduling. One of GGU’s MBA programs, for example, is offered exclusively through Saturday classes.

The unique Executive MBA program is available for business professionals who would like to get even more advanced training and education in their field.

Golden Gate’s career services division helps students in all programs to define and meet career goals by offering access to job and internship listings and by sponsoring career-oriented workshops and other events.

Students may also enhance networking, leadership and communication skills by joining one of GGU’s more than 40 student organizations.

To gain admission to Golden Gate University, applicants will need to have at least three years of work experience since leaving school. They are also expected to meet certain academic performance criteria. However, Golden Gate prides itself on evaluating each student individually and even admitting students who don’t necessarily meet all of the admissions requirements.

Eligible students may receive financial aid from federal, state, institutional and/or private sources.
