School Description
CET is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fighting poverty & dependence on public aid by making hands-on job training available to youth and adults of all educational levels & backgrounds, but especially to those most in need and hardest to serve.
The mission of CET, an economic and community development corporation is to promote human development and education by providing people with marketable skills training and supportive services that contribute to self-sufficiency.
For each CET student, the goal is to obtain a permanent, unsubsidized, well-paying entry-level position with benefits, and continued growth potential.
Nationally known for its exceptional outcomes, which include higher job placement, higher earnings gains and higher retention rates than most training programs ever studied, CET was awarded funds to replicate its model throughout the Southwest as well as in other areas of the United States. The organization now has nearly 30 training and service centers in several states, with six international centers in Belize and Chile.
