Description
The Brio Academy of Cosmetology in Niantic, Connecticut, allows aspiring cosmetologists to express themselves creatively while learning basic theory and the skills necessary for a career in cosmetology.
Students at Brio also become involved with their community through its many community service opportunities. The academy often hosts special events for the local and national community, including annual summer concerts dedicated to specific causes. It also supports the homeless and advocates AIDS awareness.
Brio offers five distinct cosmetology programs:
- Cosmetology (Hairstylist or Barber)
- Esthetics (Skin Care Specialist)
- Nail Technology
- Makeup Artistry
- Theatrical Makeup and Special Effects Artistry
All students work alongside experienced professionals who not only teach, but also take an active interest in ensuring that students learn only the most updated techniques to help them land a job upon graduation.
A unique Job Shadow program is offered to students in the cosmetology and esthetician programs. The program is a great career learning opportunity where students observe instructors and advanced students as they provide services at Brio’s upscale salon.
The academy also offers career events and workshop programs to all students, providing them with other invaluable learning opportunities.
Financial aid is available to eligible students.
