Description
The Center for Employment Training (CET) in Salinas, California offers individualized and personal career training, particularly for individuals from disadvantaged populations.
CET campuses are located in other California cities as well, such as Sacramento, San Jose, El Centro, Oxnard and Gilroy as well as in other states such as Virginia and Illinois.
Each of CET’s campus centers offers different programs of study, with the one in Salinas providing training in Business Office Technology and Custodial Services.
With a special focus on individuals with financial challenges, CET provides services to help the unemployed, single mothers and those who left high school without graduating.
Unique to CET is its individualized method of training. While all students attend full-time, they work at their own pace in moving from one level of training to the next.
CET’s career services helps students to find positions and build interviewing and resume writing skills.
Financial aid is available to qualifying students through grants and loans.
Admission is open to anyone aged 17 or over. Those who are interested in enrolling will need to attend one of CET’s orientation sessions.
