CMU Description

With national and international campuses and a massive number of academic offerings, Central Michigan University (CMU) is one of the nation’s largest public universities.

In addition to its main campus set in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, CMU has 60 campus centers across the United States, centers in Canada and Mexico, and a vibrant online university.

CMU offers more than 200 academic programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students can take programs to become an audiologist, entrepreneur or physician’s assistant, among many others.

CMU’s campus life is also vibrant. In addition to fraternities, sororities, community service groups and athletic teams, CMU has over 250 registered student organizations.

In addition to providing consultation and guidance in career development and job searching, the career services department sponsors internships so that students might get a head start in their field.

Top faculty, some of whom are experts in their field, numerous research opportunities, and advanced classroom technology further enrich the CMU learning experience.

Central Michigan University offers financial aid to eligible students, including academic scholarships, state and federal grants, work-study and federal and private loans.
