Azusa Pacific University is an evangelical Christian community of disciples and scholars who seek to advance the work of God in the world through academic excellence in liberal arts and professional programs of higher education that encourage students to develop a Christian perspective of truth and life.
Azusa Pacific University is a private, non-denominational, evangelical Christian university located near Los Angeles in suburban Azusa, California. It was founded in 1899, with classes opening on March 3, 1900 in Whittier, California. It began offering degrees in 1939. APU holds regional accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
While officially non-denominational, the university has informal ties with the evangelical Wesleyan Church, Free Methodist Church, the Evangelical Friends International, and the Church of God. The university's seminary, Haggard School of Theology, holds to a Wesleyan, Arminian doctrinal theology. With nearly 5,000 students, APU's undergraduate student body is the largest in the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (though Indiana Wesleyan University has a larger total student body) and the second largest evangelical undergrad student body in the United States, behind only Liberty University .
Azusa Pacific University’s Azusa campus is situated in the San Gabriel Valley, located northeast of Los Angeles.
The university also maintains seven off-site regional centers in Southern California:
What is known today as Azusa Pacific University is the product of the merger of three Southern California-area Christian institutions: Azusa College, Los Angeles Pacific College, and Arlington College.

my lil sis goes there and she never complains about that, and as with all colleges it is how you use your time, not how much you study, sometimes studying too much is bad. nothing sinks in becasue so much is trying to all at the same time.
college is an exercise in resposnibility, time management, and dealing with an ever increasing round of bullshit, that if you can handle, if you can make it through the boring bullshit, if you are responsible enough to care about the little things and the big things, then you are ready for the world. College is just a test to see that you can deal with all the bull, and if you can , you can deal with the bull of the real world. too bad it costs so much just for something that simple.

Azusa Pacific is a small private Christian college in Whittier, CA. I know several people who went there. We're all in the Protestant side so at the very least, Azusa isn't exclusively Catholic. It's likely under the Protestant camp of Christianity.
Whittier is a suburb of LA. Pretty far from anything "big city". On the boring side I guess, even restaurant and movie theater wise. You'll need a car for sure.

It is a well-known school and has a great reputation for athletics, nursing, business and education in particular. It is a Christian school that participates in the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities and is fully accredited. While a Christian school where you can study theology, it is open to all students and has great bachelor's, masters and doctoral programs.
I have known several students who attended APU, as well as numerous employees. I believe the satisfaction of employees is a great indicator of the health of a school - and in that case, I highly recommend APU.

Question:
Info about Azusa Pacific University?
I am attending a community college in Calif. and am transfering in 1 year. I am looking for a Christian-religious college. I am considering going to APU. How easy is it to transfer? I was homeschooled & got my GED. Does this make the transfer more difficult? Can anyone tell me anything about this college? My majors of interest are Bible Studies, English, Art History, & Liberal Arts/Sciences. Any help is appreciated.

I have a friend that went there and she liked it. Usually admission as a transfer is easier than freshman admission and the college doesn't care about high school once you went to community college.
