Description

Howard College is a two-year community college offering comprehensive academics and professional training throughout the West Texas Region.

While its main campus is located in Big Spring, Texas, Howard has three additional campuses: Lamesa, San Angelo and Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf.

Howard’s career-based associate’s degrees are offered in such fields as Dental Hygiene, Emergency Medical Services, Computer Technology, Criminal Justice, Teaching and Business.

Associate’s degrees in liberal arts and sciences are also offered, and are designed for students who wish to transfer to a four-year school.

For those who want to receive professional training without investing a lot of time, there are professional skills certificates in Business, Esthetic Arts, Nail Technology and Cosmetology.

Howard’s student life includes numerous campus events and activities, and access to academic, religious and cultural clubs, intramural sports, and recreational activities.

Admission is granted to any student who has a high school diploma or GED. An application must be submitted before students may enroll.

Financial aid offerings for eligible students include loans, grants and other sources. Benefits for veterans are also available.
