Description
The Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Professions in Lewiston, Maine, strives to inspire student success and lifelong learning through science, humanities, arts programs, excellent teaching and scholarship, and community-based partnerships.
Admissions procedures require all degree applicants to take the Kaplap Nursing Entrance Exam, taken at the CMMC College. In addition, students pursuing a degree in Radiologic Technology must submit a letter of recommendation.
Academics at the school include associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine and associate’s of applied science degrees in Nursing and Radiologic Technology.
Certificate programs are also offered in Computer Tomography and General Education Courses.
Student services offered at CMMC College include assistance with writing a professional resume (required for all students during their second year), employment opportunities posted on campus, and student and graduate records available on request.
The rates for clinical credit hours are set higher than general education credit hours, so students must take that into account upon acceptance. All tuition rates vary depending on the amount of credits in each program, or if students submit transfer credits from other institutions.
The CMMC cafeteria is open to students, where you can purchase meals at employee-discounted rates. Housing is also available to provide a cohesive student life.
Students in need of financial aid may qualify for federal loans and grants or school-funded scholarships.
