Description

For an education at one the nation’s leading Catholic universities in the nation, there’s the Saint John’s University in Queens, New York.

Students have easy access to an exciting and enriching student life. With signature events like a large activities fair, winter carnival, homecoming and spring week programs, students have the opportunity to celebrate the school and its diversity. Multicultural events including the Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration or African Heritage Celebration promote understanding, awareness and tolerance of other cultures.

The school also offers many academic groups, honor societies, cultural and religious groups and performing arts groups, among others, to provide students with both real-world experience and social opportunities.

St. John’s offers many service opportunities, as it believes that community service is not just a one-time volunteer event; it’s a lifetime commitment. As an extension of its Vincentian heritage, the school offers faith and service programs through campus ministries, service learning opportunities and more.

Academics include more than 100 undergraduate programs in fields from Accounting to Psychology to Toxicology. Graduate programs are offered in education, business, pharmacy and allied health professions and more.

Admissions require students to submit an official high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores. Students applying for theological study must contact the program directly.

Students who file a FAFSA will be considered for institutional scholarships. Other forms of assistance include Title IV financial aid options.
