North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) is a residential two-year college that offers cutting-edge, specialized and traditional degrees leading to careers or to transfers.
NDSCS offers more than 80 academic programs leading to associate’s degrees, certificates and diplomas.
NDSCS grants standard degrees or diplomas in such in-demand careers as Criminal Justice, Dental Assisting, Occupational Therapy Assistance, Early Childhood Education, Emergency Medical Services, Plumbing and Practical Nursing. Degrees leading to a four-year transfer include pre-professional programs in Law, Medicine, Nursing and Social Work. NDSCS also offers liberal arts transfer degree programs.
Other more specialized degrees at NDSCS include Agricultural Systems Management, Architectural Drafting, Electrical Construction, e-Business and Precision Machining Technology.
NDSCS also has offerings intended to prepare students for emerging and current fields of scientific study. These include the study of nanotechnology and biofuel technology.
Academic assistance is offered free of charge in numerous formats. Tutoring is provided in writing, reading, math, accounting and science. There are also workshops and study groups.
Other student services include career services, health and counseling services, housing and financial aid for eligible students.
NDSCS prides itself on not only offering an academic education, but on educating its students in other ways through extracurricular activities, clubs, arts organizations, athletics and social events.
