Description

Confidence, accomplishment, and satisfaction are what you’ll receive at the Academy of Cosmetology in Janesville, Wisconsin. Whether you want to become a stylist, nail technician or skin care specialist, the Janesville Academy will help you on your way to a professional career.

The academy’s cosmetology program is a 1,800-hour track designed to teach students basic theory and skills in all phases of hair, skin, and nail care and prepare them to take the Cosmetology Examination for licensure required by the Cosmetology Board of Wisconsin.

The nail technician program is 300 clock hours. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to take the Manicuring Examination as required by the state.

A certificate in esthetics can be earned by fulfilling the program’s 450 clock hours and by successful completion of the Aesthetician Examination required by the state of Wisconsin.

If you already possess a Wisconsin cosmetology license and have completed 2,000 hours of work experience in a salon or spa, you may also enroll in the academy’s Cosmetology Instructor program. You’ll learn how to become an effective cosmetology teacher by gaining experience in curriculum design, teaching, and laboratory management.

Tuition does not include the cost of books and salon kits. Financial aid is available to eligible students to help cover costs, mostly through federal sources.
