Northeast State Community College (NSCC) is the premier educational resource for residents of Sullivan County, Tennessee seeking career training or a transfer to a four-year university.

Located in Blountville, with learning centers in Elizabethton, Gray and Kingsport, NSCC serves a student body of more than 6,000 annually.

Offering more than 50 associate degree programs leading to college transfer, NSCC’s course selections run the gamut. Transfer degrees include such subjects as Advertising, Economics, Psychology, Social Work, Computer Science and many pre-professional programs such as Pre-Occupational Therapy and Pre-Engineering.

NSCC maintains transfer agreements with such respected universities as UT Knoxville and UT Chattanooga, helping to ease the transfer process.

Students who wish to obtain a degree that will qualify them for immediate employment will also find an abundance of choices at NSCC. Associate degree programs are offered in Computer Science, Dental Assisting, Medical Lab Technology, Surgical Technology, Automotive Technology and Web Technology among many others.

With classes offered during the day and evening students may fit their NSCC courses around their work schedule. Online courses are also available.

Intent on serving all members of the community, NSCC also has programs for high school students, which allow them to pursue career training while earning credit and remaining in high school.

The Learning Center and student success center help students to choose which program is right for them as well as provide such academic assistance as tutoring and career development.

Financial aid is also available through such sources as grants and loans to eligible students.
