Circle in the Square Theatre School's primary objective is to train actors and singers for work in the professional theatre, film and TV with traditional and experimental approaches to dramatic presentation. The program is designed and structured to help each student develop technique and style with primary emphasis on the development of both intellectual and physical aspects so that the actor can achieve a successful interpretation of a role and work effectively as an ensemble member. Upon completion of the program you will have the range and ability to to perform varied styles so your talents can be drawn upon to support the outstanding tradition of performance for which both Circle in the Square Theatre and the Theatre School are renowned.
We believe strongly in an eclectic curriculum in order to expose the students to various acting styles and to different viewpoints of those styles. The vision and concept of each program's tonality and structural whole is vitally important, and has been developed by a combined effort of faculty, administration and advisors. Our programs provide individual attention in small classes, with a faculty composed of the finest actors, directors and master teachers available in the New York theatre.
Students must be highly motivated and prepared to make a full commitment to the demands this concept requires.
