Description

For more than 75 years Universal College of Beauty in Los Angeles, California has been training stylists, make-up artists and nail care professionals. So that all who seek a career in the beauty industry may have that opportunity, Universal will even admit those without a high school diploma.

Universal has three campuses, all of which are located in the central part of Los Angeles. The first campus, located on South Vermont Avenue, offers easy access to public transportation, including buses and the Metro.

The Cosmetology program at the Vermont campus gives students the skills necessary to style hair, apply different types of make-up, treat nails and perform other services. The Vermont campus also offers a Manicuring course and an Instructor Trainee course designed for licensed cosmetologists who want to work as beauty arts instructors.

Since Los Angeles is the center of the entertainment industry and is one of the largest cities in the country, work opportunities for graduates are immense.

The admissions department is quite flexible, requiring that students either have a high school diploma or GED or, if they don’t, meet a minimum age requirement.

Students who require financial aid to help with tuition costs may consult a Universal College staff member or representative about possible funding opportunities.
