Hinds Community College, Rankin (HCC)

The Rankin campus of the Hinds Community College in Pearl, Mississippi, offers the experience of a four-year university in a close-knit community college setting with its personalized educational programs and excellent, formidable instructors.

The campus offers a number of student life opportunities designed to meet the academic, personal and social needs of all students. Many on-campus events like music concerts provide leisure activities, while several organizations like Phi Beta Lambda, the Baptist Student Union and Associated Student Government allow you to gain professional skills outside of the classroom.

Academics at the Rankin campus include more than 140 academic, 15 technical and 3 career programs, allowing you to pursue just about any course of study you wish.

The admissions policy of the school is open, allowing eligible students who have earned a high school diploma or GED the opportunity to attend. As part of the enrollment process, students must submit official transcripts, ACT scores and schedule an interview with an academic advisor prior to their first term. COMPASS placement tests will be given to students who have not taken the ACT.

To be considered for financial aid, students must file a FAFSA. Forms of aid include Pell grants, student loans, Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grants and work-study programs.
