Description

Clatsop Community College has been providing public higher education since 1958. The school is located in Astoria, Oregon, overlooking the Columbia river and just a short walk from the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

Clatsop Community College offers various technical and professional programs, ranging from three month certificate courses to two-year associate’s degree programs. For students interested in earning a bachelor’s degree, community college is a great place to earn the credits and associate’s degree at a lower price before transferring to a university for your last two years.

In fact, Clatsop Community College has degree partnerships with Oregon State University and Portland State University, simplifying the transfer process. The school also offers online courses through the Blackboard site so students can earn some credits without having to commute to the campus.

The student life division has clubs, organizations, and activities that students can choose from, including Greek life.

In-state residents receive a reduced tuition rate, and Pacific Northwest residents (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) and California and Nevada residents will receive the in-state tuition rate as well.

Clatsop Community College’s financial aid office will happily discuss the scholarships, grants, loans, and work study options that may be available to you.
