Rappahannock Community College in Glenns, Virgnia, offers comprehensive educational programs and services to students of all backgrounds.

Students may elect to transfer to a four-year school, in which case they should obtain an associate’s in liberal arts or sciences.

Professional associate’s degrees give students all the preparation they need to begin careers in such fields as:

  • Emergency medical services

Rappahannock also has dual enrollment programs for high school students who wish to get a head start on their education.

Other programs available at Rappahannock include Upward Bound and adult education classes like GED prep.

Rappahannock has an open admissions policy, which means that anyone with a high school diploma or GED may enroll once they submit an admissions application. Certain programs, such as nursing, may have additional admissions requirements. Many students will also need to take a placement exam before enrolling.

Rappahannock participates in federal financial aid programs, awarding loans and grants to eligible students. To apply for these, applicants must complete a FAFSA. Rappahannock also offers a select number of scholarships.
