Description
North Central Michigan College offers opportunities for those who wish to transfer to one of Michigan’s state universities without ever having to leave the North Central campus.
Located in Petoskey, Michigan and serving Emmet and surrounding counties, North Central Michigan College offers associate’s degrees in the liberal arts and sciences leading to a four-year transfer.
Since NCMC has partnerships with Central Michigan University, Lawrence Technical University, Michigan State University and Spring Arbor University, among others, students who meet certain criteria have guaranteed admission to these schools.
Not only that, but North Michigan’s partnerships also allow students to remain at North Michigan for their entire four years.
Since North Michigan now offers student housing, which makes for a comfortable and social experience, students can make North Michigan their home while pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
For those who would like a degree that will qualify them for an in-demand career, North Central also offers associate’s degrees and certificates in such fields as Restaurant Management, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, Nursing, and Business Management.
If you are uncertain of which academic major or career path to choose, North Central Michigan’s career resource center can assist you through assessments and career counseling.
Financial aid is available to eligible students through the standard grants, loans, work-study and scholarships.
