Description
Center for Employment Training (CET) in Texas provides job training for youth and adults from a variety of educational backgrounds. It is a non-profit organization that is committed to serving low-income, underserved, and unemployed individuals in the El Paso area.
Students at CET learn at their own pace in Building Maintenance and Truck Driver training courses.
Those interested in enrolling at CET are encouraged to attend an orientation on campus before starting the admissions process. They will be given a campus tour and have the opportunity to meet with a skill instructor. The skill instructor will help them develop a plan for their future, based on their individual needs.
Federal financial aid programs are also offered at CET in the form of grants, loans, or work-study.
CET has career support services available for students who want to learn professional development skills such as resume writing, interview techniques, dressing for work environments, and more. Additionally, English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction is provided for those who need it.
Training at CET is available to anyone who is at least 17 years of age and wants to gain new skills to get job ready. Students at the school are allowed to stay in their training programs until they find employment.
