Finger Lakes Community College--a public, open access institution--provides quality education within a student-centered, college environment devoted to promoting long-term student success.

In a recent survey conducted by the State University of New York, FLCC students ranked their college first among all New York State Community Colleges for quality of instruction, students' enjoyment of classes, and faculty preparedness.

Our small classes offer exceptional opportunities for faculty-student interaction. FLCC faculty members know your name and genuinely care about your success.

The small school atmosphere opens the door to meeting people with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. FLCC can prepare you for a huge range of majors. Choose from over 45 degrees and certificate programs, in-person and online.

Through co-curricular activities, students have an opportunity to engage in programs and services that will enhance their academic coursework. Some initiatives include an electronic Volunteer Center, leadership organizations, and personal development programs.

Students at FLCC enjoy the full college experience. Brand new suite-style residence halls offer the privacy of single rooms, along with amenities such as a fitness center and computer lab within the halls. Our residence life programming focuses on student development and personal growth.

Our campus in scenic Canandaigua is nestled in the heart of the spectacular Finger Lakes region of New York State. Visit the arboretum, greenhouse, outdoor classrooms, nature trails and fish hatchery located right on campus.

Finger Lakes Community College is a college affiliated with the State University of New York. The college has three locations: Canandaigua (the main campus) Geneva, and Newark, in order to serve the needs of Ontario County, Wayne County, Yates County and Seneca County in the Finger Lakes region of New York. A new campus center in Victor is scheduled to open in January 2010.

About FLCC

Finger Lakes Community College was established in 1965 and opened in 1967 as the Community College of the Finger Lakes (CCFL) in a storefront "campus" in Canandaigua, NY. The college now rests on of park-like land just outside Canandaigua, in Hopewell, NY, and is home to the Constellation Brands- Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC). The college now has affiliated housing in the 350 bed College Suites project, adjacent to the campus. In Fall 2008, FLCC's headcount enrollment was 5,750, the highest in its history.

FLCC is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the National League for Nursing, and National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships. All programs of instruction are registered with the Office of Higher Education of the New York State Education department.

Finger Lakes Community College also operates the Muller Field Station at the southern end of Honeoye Lake which serves as an outdoor education facility.
