Description

As one of California’s oldest vocational schools, North-West College has been providing quality career training to California residents for over 45 years. The Pomona campus, one of NWC’s six locations, is located in the heart of the city near public transportation, dining, and city hall. Pomona is also just 30 miles outside of downtown Los Angeles.

Academics at Pomona focus on health care. Some of the programs offered include:

* Pharmacy Technician
* Vocational Nurse
* Medical Assistant
* Dental Assistant
* Massage Therapy
* Eyecare Specialist
* Medical Administrative Assistant

The medical field is a booming industry, so if you’re looking to jump-start your career, health care is a great place to start. The academic programs at North-West College are designed to prepare you for an entry-level position in one of these in-demand careers.

Though it does not fund scholarships, North-West College does offer financial aid to eligible students. Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, and direct federal loans are some of the financial assistance available.

To meet its goal of finding employment for its students, NWC Pomona provides active career placement services. Career planning begins as soon as you enroll, but the placement assistance service will help place you in the profession of your choice once you graduate.
