I found some more information for you on Delaware State University. I hope you find some interesting things here! According to the first link (the HBCU Network), there is some history behind the school. This part is largely historical: "The State College for Colored Students, now known as Delaware State University, was established May 15, 1891 by the Delaware General Assembly under the provisions of the Morrill Act of 1890 by which land-grant colleges for Blacks came into existence in states maintaining separate educational facilities. Through the conservative and practical planning of the Board of Trustees appointed by Governor Robert J. Reynolds of Delaware, the College was launched upon its mission of education and public service on February 2, 1892. Five courses of study leading to a baccalaureate degree were offered: Agricultural, Chemical, Classical, Engineering, and Scientific." For a famous person, I found something interesting from the second link I have provided. It is a press release about a co-chaplain for the Philadelphia Eagles: "DOVER , Del. – Rev. Theodore Winsley, DSU class of 1993, who now serves as a co-chaplain for the Philadelphia Eagles will be the guest preacher at the regular 10 a.m. Sunday worship service this week (Oct. 23) at Crossroad Christian Church, located on Dupont Highway (U.S. 13) located just south of Cheswold and about one miles north of Dover ." Hope this helps you! :)

You would have to check with the original university. If you have completed most of the requirements for graduation at Delaware State, you will have to have them approve the classes you intend to take in NYC for completion of your degree. There are many differences between courses at different colleges and the college has to decide whether the courses you intend to take meet their requirements. In this case, you DON'T want to transfer your credits to the NYC college - that would assume you want to graduate from the NYC college and you do not want to "matriculate"; you just want to finish your degree at Delaware State with courses taken at a different school. Please speak to Delaware State before taking any action.

Some people (see first two posts) are so shallow. I lived in Dover for many years and DELstate is not too far. It's not a large school, but it's not that bad. Dover's a quiet town except when Nascar season comes around, as Dover Downs is right across the highway from the University, and there are 2-3+ races a year. The malls and shopping centers are close by as well, and the beaches are a 40-50 minute drive away. The best part about DE is that buying anything is tax-free ;P
