School Description
Provided by Fort Belknap CollegeAs I reflect on this past year and the many accomplishments of our students, staff and faculty, I can honestly say, you have made the right choice by beginning your post-secondary education at Fort Belknap College.
Many of our students have been recognized for their academic achievement on the national, state and local levels. Our graduates have successfully transferred to four-year colleges and universities and earned their baccalaureate degrees. Many have continued on to earn masters degrees. Success stories of our students are sometimes unheralded, but we have made a commitment to proclaim the accomplishments of our students and encourage you to become an alumni of Fort Belknap College.
Our dedicated staff diligently works to provide you with the best quality education in a comfortable and safe environment. New campus buildings are always exciting and we will soon be breaking ground and completing construction of the Native American Studies Cultural Center. The Cultural Center will be located north of the current campus close to Highway 2 for easy visitor access. This cultural center will house our Native American Studies faculty, tribal archives, classrooms, and museum artifacts. This challenging undertaking is being met with enthusiasm and involvement of our two respective tribes and many staff on campus.
Another exciting project on campus is the faculty and staff mentor program. Staff and faculty are randomly assigned students and will mentor those students for their complete stay at Fort Belknap College. Tutorial services are available at no cost to you. Your advisors will guide you through your academic programs and they are just "down the hall" for your convenience.
We anticipate an exciting year and we are proud that you will be a part of our progress. On behalf of our Board of Directors, faculty, and staff, we gladly welcome you to Fort Belknap College and wish you the best in the upcoming academic year.
With best regards,
Carole Falcon-Chandler
President
