Description

Kansas Community College’s Technical Education Center focuses on giving students skills and training for employment in the technical and healthcare industries. The Technical Education Center also has programs for those who wish to transfer to a four-year school or who are more academically or creatively inclined.

The Technical Education Center has more than 20 programs, both on campus and online in such professional fields as:

  • Nursing
  • Business
  • Allied Health
  • Computer Technology

These career programs include a substantial amount of hands-on work to make students as proficient as possible in their field and ready for employment. Additional academic programs are also awarded in the humanities and fine arts fields.

Student services provide career coaching and job-placement assistance, as well as guidance on academic issues.

The Technical Education Center offers student activities as well, including concerts, lectures, festivals as well as more than 20 student clubs and organizations.

Students seeking admission will need a high school diploma or GED and will also need to take a placement test.

Tuition is reduced for area residents and students who need tuition assistance may also apply for financial aid.
