The largest university in the Northwest, University of Washington in Seattle abounds with academic, research and student life opportunities and also offers easy access to one of the most culturally vibrant cities in the United States.

Academics at UW Seattle run the gamut of disciplines. At the undergraduate level students may pursue degrees in such areas as:

At the graduate level, UW Seattle educates and trains future doctors, lawyers and scholars. In addition to offering graduate degrees in the subject areas listed above, UW also awards graduate degrees through its schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Law and Pharmacy.

College life provides numerous opportunities, which include more than 700 student organizations, campus museums and stage performances and numerous arts and recreation centers.

While UW may be a massive institution, in the undergraduate admissions process it considers each applicant as the individual that he or she is. In addition to evaluating transcripts and test scores, UW looks at each applicant’s extracurricular activities, accomplishments, talents and other experiences. Graduate admissions policies vary, depending on the program of study.

Financial aid offerings are comprehensive. Eligible students may receive some form of financial assistance, which could include academic scholarships, based primarily on grade point average and test scores, need-based scholarships and departmental scholarships.

UW also participates in federal financial aid programs, providing grants, loans and work-study awards. Graduate students may also be eligible for full-tuition fellowships or assistantships, depending on their area of study.
