Description

If you are facing special financial or other challenges, come from a challenged family environment, or are an adult learner, Robeson Community College has special support to make receiving a college degree easy and enjoyable for you.

Located in Lumberton, North Carolina, Robeson Community College offers associate’s degrees, diplomas and certificates leading to highly marketable careers or to college transfer.

Career-oriented degrees and diplomas prepare students for employment as nurses, surgical technologists, law enforcement officers, cosmetologists and medical office managers, among others.

For those who wish to transfer to a four-year school, Robeson has an associate’s degree program in General Studies.

While Robeson has students of all backgrounds and welcomes them all, those with specific challenges are offered additional support in their academic and career journey.

With distance education as well as on-site learning formats, more students than ever may receive their degree and even receive academic counseling online.

Through the TRIO program, Robeson offers additional support to students who are single parents, adult learners, disabled, low-income or the first in their family to attend college.

While all students may receive academic advising and career counseling, TRIO students get additional support in those areas. They are also eligible for supplemental instruction, tutoring, and workshops on study-skills, time-management and test-taking. TRIO students even have the chance to attend cultural field trips.

Students may be eligible for such sources of financial aid as grants and loans. Financial aid counselors may be consulted about which types of aid are available as well as the application process.
