Financial aid awards are divided into two categories. Need-based aid consists of federal aid awards like Pell grants, FSEOG grants and loans. There are also academic awards such as the Life Scholarship, which covers a substantial portion of tuition and requires a minimum grade point average of 3.0, a minimum SAT of 1100 or an ACT score of at least 24. There is also a tuition grant, which covers partial tuition and is designed for Education majors who plan to teach in understaffed schools.
