Saa college is a private, two-year institution of higher learning, preparing students to become successful, innovative graphic designers and artists. SAA college uses high standards and advanced technology to optimize the success of its students. Through a committed staff and network of alumni and community involvement, the students graduate with exceptional portfolios to become active members of the advertising, marketing and communications community.Founded by a professional graphic designer in 1983, saa was created to give hands-on training to aspiring designers. Students spend the entire two years focused on art and design and receive more hands-on training than you would get at most four-year colleges.
Real working professionals teach what you really need to know to succeed in the field of graphic design. saa prepares students for an industry that includes illustration, animation, web design, photography and marketing.
saa teaches students the latest design software. Software programs include: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXPress, Flash, Cinema 4D and Dreamweaver.
At saa you won't be known by your social security number. You'll be on a first-name basis with the entire saa staff.
saa is located on the corner of East David Road and Hempstead Station in Kettering, Ohio, adjacent to a quiet residential neighborhood. RTA bus lines are accessible at the corner of the college property.
Kettering is a safe, friendly city of 50,000 people within an hour’s drive of Dayton, Cincinnati, and Columbus. There are plenty of parks, shopping malls, skating areas and restaurants to please anyone.
The college is all contained in one 15,000 square-foot air-conditioned, well lit facility. There are eight studio classrooms that accommodate design, illustration and academic classes. [Average class size is 15-21 students in art classes, 16-24 students in academic classes.]
There is an accessible entrance ramp and restroom facilities for persons with physical disabilities. There are also vending machines, an atrium/commons area, a library, and faculty/staff offices.
