The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville, a comprehensive community college, provides learning experiences that improve the lives of those we serve. We continuously identify and respond to the diverse educational needs of students, workforce and community. We value: The contributions of individuals and relationships built on trust and respect. Students and our role in assisting each student to identify, refine, and meet his or her educational and career goals. Providing activities and experiences that strengthen and enrich our community. Providing people opportunities that enhance their quality of life.

UACCB provides affordable access to technical education and college transfer programs that meet the diverse higher education needs of the citizens of north central Arkansas. The College also promotes economic development and an enhanced quality of life for the community through adult education, developmental education, customized business and industry training, and continuing education programs.

UACCB offers the Associate of Arts Degree (AA). the Associate of Arts Degree in Teaching (AAT), and the Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS). These degree curriculums are approved by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The AA degree, AAT degree and AS degree are designed for students who plan to attain a bachelor's degree. Technical Certificates may be earned from UACCB in allied health, business, industrial technology, and public service.

The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) is a public community college located in Batesville, Arkansas. It is an accredited two-year university offering various Associates of Arts and Associates of Science degrees.

History

In 1991, the facility was organized as Gateway Technical College, offering courses in electrician and mechanical fields. In 1997, the University of Arkansas system absorbed Gateway, and a few months later re-christened it as the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB), offering both vocational courses as well as courses towards associates degrees and college courses toward "core" requirements at four-year schools.

In the years since its reorganization, UACCB has undergone several campus renovations. The first major renovation, completed in 1999, added an Arts and Sciences building, as well as various landscaping and parking additions. The next phase of construction, completed in 2001, added a auditorium and conference facility named Independence Hall (after Independence County, of which Batesville is the county seat). In 2002, the College acquired adjacent of unimproved land and constructed a Physical Plant.
