Description
Hempstead, New York’s Franklin Career Institute offers residents of Long Island in New York training for today’s most in-demand medical careers and career placement services to help them make the leap from school to employment.
Franklin Career Institute’s programs include:
- Medical Billing and Coding
- Medical Office Assisting
- Phlebotomy and EKG Technology
In addition to such services as academic advising and tutoring, Franklin has a job placement service to help students to gain full-time employment in their area of specialty upon graduation.
The job placement division also assists students who want to obtain work-study positions to help fund their education. Those in the Medical Office Assistant program may also receive assistance from the New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and through federal Pell grants.
In addition to an interview, applicants must complete an application and proof of their high school diploma for admissions. Those who do not have a diploma and are 17 years of age or older may still enroll if they pass the Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) test.
