Pruden Center for Industry and Technology

4169 Pruden Boulevard, Suffolk, VA 23434

While it offers a few adult education programs, including computer proficiency and GED prep, the Pruden Center for Industry and Technology primarily serves high school students in the counties of Suffolk and Wight.

The Pruden Center’s academics offer more than 15 vocational programs in high-demand professions like Cosmetology, IT and Nurse Aide. If you know what career path you’d like to take, these courses are a great way to gain professional experience while you’re still in high school.

If you’re not quite sure what career you’re interested in pursuing, the Pruden Center’s AC/CESS program is an excellent resource. AC/CESS allows you to explore some potential career pathways through three-day vocational evaluations. These evaluations give you practical experience in the field of your choice, so you can determine whether or not it’s right for you.

As a public school, the Pruden Center’s programs are free, so financial aid is not necessary. However, students in some programs may be eligible for financial aid for continued study at another institution. For example, exceptional Auto Service Technology students could receive a scholarship for nearly $3,000.
