Fayette Institute of Technology (FIT), located in Oak Hill, West Virginia, offers a high-quality education integrated with hands-on technological training to prepare students to be successful in their new careers.

FIT’s academic curriculum combines classroom discussion and bookwork with hands-on training. There are several programs for students to choose from, such as Automotive, Business, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), JROTC, Masonry, Nursing LPN, and many more.

Fayette Institute of Technology also offers community education classes, which are non-degree, skill-training classes such as photography, sewing, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

In addition, the school offers Adult Basic Education classes, providing the region’s workforce with training to enhance their skillset. FIT is the only school in Fayette County to be accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Tuition costs vary for each program. Financial aid is available to qualifying Fayette Institute of Technology adult students to help with the cost of things such as tuition, books, and supplies. Students may qualify for aid from grants, loans, and other sources, such as the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).

FIT utilizes an open admissions policy, so all students who meet the basic requirements may apply.
