Students looking to enter the world of cosmetology and manicuring can begin their studies at Hair Academy Inc in New Carrolton.

Comprised of theory classrooms and laboratories, students at Hair Academy can receive hands-on and clinical training needed to obtain a career in the workforce. Creating a real salon-like environment allows students to gain experience and learn the skills they need to obtain jobs in the cosmetology industry.

Accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences, Hair Academy offers full-time and part-time programs to their students. Once enrolled in the Cosmetology Operator program, students will acquire skills such as make-up techniques, manicuring and pedicuring, hair-cutting and hairstyling. This program can be completed with 1500 hours of instruction.

In order to enroll, students must hold a visa or be a citizen of the United States, have a sufficient understanding of the English language, pass an entrance exam and exceed the compulsory school age.
