With over 40 years of experience in the industry, Sheffield knows recording. Since 1995, Sheffield Institute of the Recording Arts has shared the company’s expertise, offering training in all stages of the recording arts.

Sheffield Institute’s academics currently feature the following programs:

*AudioWorks
*VideoWorks
*TechWorks
*TV & Radio Broadcasting

These courses vary in length, and can be completed in 19 to 30 weeks for full-time study, or 41 to 53 weeks for part-time study. Each concentration is designed to prepare you for employment in the audio/video industry.

Sheffield Institute’s admissions requirements include a high school diploma or GED, as well as a deposit and registration fee. All students must participate in a campus tour and interview, which will assess your ability to benefit from studying at Sheffield.

The school offers limited financial aid. Two merit scholarships are available: the Sheffield Scholarship and Lopez Memorial Scholarship. Both of these awards are open to students in all of the institute’s concentrations. However, only graduates of Maryland area high schools may apply for the Sheffield Scholarship.
