Description

The Wadley Campus of Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC) is not only home to degrees and career training but to SUSCC’s cultural and student life.

Located in Wadley, Alabama, SUSCC has two additional Randolph County campuses. All of SUSCC’s campuses offer associate’s degrees and certificates leading to such careers as Nursing, Early Childhood Education, Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Design, Emergency Medical Services, Cosmetology, Welding, Automotive Repair and numerous other fields.

Pre-professional degrees such as Pre-Architecture, Pre-Engineering, Pre-Forestry, Pre-Law, Pre-Music Therapy and Pre-Social Work may also be found at SUSCC. Students may also pursue an associate’s degree leading to four-year university transfer.

The Wadley campus of SUSCC is unique in that students may also participate in a vibrant fine arts department. Wadley offers degrees and courses in music, theatre and an award-winning dance program. In addition to performing at school functions and throughout the community, students may take a trip to New York City, where they attend a Carnegie Hall performance and take professional performing arts workshops.

Wadley also hosts a competition every year. Students compete in nine areas including poetry, art, theatre, music, dance and speech.

Wadley is also the only campus in the SUSCC system to offer campus housing, which also helps to enrich the student life experience.

Outstanding athletics also make their home at the Wadley campus.

Student services, which may be found at all campuses, include academic advising, career services and special needs counseling among others.

Financial aid is awarded to eligible students based on financial and academic eligibility and might include grants, work-study, scholarships and loans.
