The mission of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology is to provide committed learners with career-enhancing education, personal growth experience, and four-year college transfer opportunities in a genuine collegiate environment. P.I.T. seeks to:

* Emphasize “hands-on” experience for computer information systems literacy, theory, and programmatic competencies.
* Encourage students and faculty to evolve with their fields through continued learning and professional development.
* Maximize the job placement of eligible candidates, and prepare those students who seek to transfer to four year colleges.
* Encourage a sense of social responsibility in students through sharing our technical resources with the community for related educational purposes.

Degree and Certificate programs at P.I.T. are recognized, supported, and developed with the help of business, industry, and other institutions. P.I.T. offers students nine Associate's Degree programs in Engineering Technology, Allied Health, Information Technology and Business as well as Career Certificate Programs.

Each program concentration is designed to provide practical, hands-on training that employers' desire and need in today's competitive job market. Additionally, the programs are designed so our students can transfer to colleges or universities that offer higher degrees. P.I.T. has developed transfer and/or articulation agreements with a number of accredited colleges and universities to help facilitate the transfer of credits earned at P.I.T. into those institutions.

onveniently located on Manchester Avenue in Media, Pennsylvania, P.I.T. is just minutes from the Baltimore Pike. The College is easily accessible by car or public transportation, and is adjacent to several different rail lines and bus routes.
