Description

If you live in South Dakota and are looking for a solid career in a promising field, you should consider Western Dakota Technical University.

Located in Rapid City, Western Dakota Technical University is the only technical school in western South Dakota.

Western Dakota Tech offers a number of programs in high-demand fields like health and medicine, business and paralegal studies. Each department offers at least several online class options per semester.

WDT is constantly growing and adding programs in its academics and other services, so it’s a school to keep an eye on if you’re in the early stages of your school search.

Student services are comprehensive and offer students support in all aspects of their academic, career and personal lives. There are programs to assist students with career development and job placement, as well as personal and academic counseling. Since there isn’t any on-campus housing the school also helps students find local housing if needed.

In addition to its conventional degrees, Western Dakota Technical has the “Plus-50” program, which gives adults over 50 the chance to become a certified park ranger or volunteer.

Those who qualify may be eligible to receive Title IV financial assistance. Financial aid is also offered in the form of loans, work-study and scholarships to eligible students.
